Obituary: Frances Ida Falsetti Boros, 89, 'Auntie Ida'

Friends may call on Monday, Jan. 14 at Lesko & Polke Funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.

Boros - Frances Ida Falsetti Boros, age 89, of Fairfield, wife of the late Andrew Boros, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013.

Born in Johnstown, PA., Mrs. Boros was a Fairfield Town resident for most of her life. She had worked for the Remington-Rand Co. for many years until her retirement. 

Auntie Ida was an avid bowler, and most recently with the Grandpa and Grandma's league where she bowled into her 80's. She belonged to the American Legion Post 143 of Fairfield and had been a faithful volunteer for the West Haven Veterans Hospital for over 30 years. Auntie Ida especially enjoyed traveling and spending with her family. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her sister, Lucille Buonincontra of Derby, a brother Bert Falsetti of Shelton as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center and at 11 a.m. in Holy Family Church, Old Stratfield Road, Fairfield, with interment to follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.
