Obituary: Helen Stark Lawrence, 98, Talented Antiquities Collector

Friends may greet her family between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at Lesko & Polke Funeral Home.

Lawrence – Helen Stark Lawrence, of Fairfield, devoted wife of the late Charles Lawrence, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2013 in Cambridge Manor.

Born on March 6, 1915 in Greenwich, she was the daughter to the late August and Nellie Smith Stark. Helen resided in Purchase, NY for 37 years before returning to Greenwich, and more recently moved to Fairfield. She was a talented antiquities collector.  

Helen will be remembered by her daughter, Nancy Kazzi, of Fairfield; two grandsons, Beau Kazzi, of Fairfield, Lance Kazzi, and his wife, Lauren, of Beacon Falls; her former son-in-law, Joseph Kazzi, of Stamford; one nephew, Robert Banks, and his wife, Martha, of TX.  

Funeral services will be held on Thursday 10:30 a.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center, and 11 a.m. in Assumption Church. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Greenwich. Friends may greet her family on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
