Obituary: John Gudzik, 60, of Fairfield

John M. Gudzik, age 60 of Fairfield, the beloved husband of nearly thirty years of Nancy (Green) Gudzik passed away peacefully on Friday, October 18, 2013 with his family by his side.  Born in Norwalk to the late John P. and Regina (Zygmant) Gudzik, he was raised in Westport prior to moving to Fairfield.  He retired from the Town of Westport Highway Department.

In addition to his wife, John is survived by his loving son, John M. Gudzik, Jr. of Fairfield; and his siblings, Judith Wanat and her husband, William of Southport, Patricia Jepsen and her husband, Mark of Farmington, Kathy Scheflen and her husband, Ken of NC and Michael Gudzik and his wife, Carol of Fairfield.      

John’s family will greet his friends at a memorial gathering on Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 3-8 p.m. at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Rd. in Fairfield Center.  Interment will be private.  To send an online condolence, please visit www.shaughnesseybanks.com.
