Lazowski - Karen Mary Krozier Lazowski, age 63, of Fairfield, beloved wife of John Lazowski, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2012.
Born in Bridgeport, Mrs. Lazowski was a lifelong Fairfield Town resident. She was an Alumni of , Class of 1970 and received her Masters Degree from in 1974. Her passion in life was in educating others, she taught in the Bridgeport School system for the former Jefferson School and Roosevelt School, and later in of Fairfield, where she had been a student, parent and later a teacher. She retired after fifteen years to help care for her precious grandchildren.
Karen liked to cook and sew, and especially enjoyed local history, participating in colonial period re-enactments at the , Holland Hill School and other venues.
In addition to her devoted husband, John, Mrs. Lazowski leaves behind her daughters, MaryAnn Petrone and her husband Scott and Catherine Correa and her husband Giovanni, all of Fairfield, grandchildren Madeline Petrone and Peter Correa, she will also be greatly missed by her beloved dog, Buddy.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9:15am in the , 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center and at 10am in , 838 King's Hwy, Fairfield with burial to follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Emery's Church.
