POLICE IMPERSONATION & RELATED CHARGES DISMISSED
Since the local media has taken such an interest on my being charged with
impersonation of an officer, which had gone viral, I felt it necessary to
report that as of 8/29/2013 all charges
against me have been dismissed. I
sincerely offer my public apologies to the Southport and Fairfield Firefighters
for the negative attention brought forth by this incident.

Notwithstanding erroneous and misleading details reported of this
incident, with which I take serious issue, I intended no malfeasance or
recklessness. I have personally taken to
heart Fairfield Police assertions of leaving matters of public safety to them,
such as the disconcerting school bus incident I observed and wrongly acted upon
in May.
My approximate sixty cumulative years of public service as a social
worker (23 years with the State Dept. of Children and Families) a volunteer firefighter/officer/EMT, and even
a Youth Baseball and Football coach should offer anyone a logical sense of
where I come from, value, judgment, and experience-wise. My background did
figure in the Court’s dismissal of these charges. In the end, most of us share the fundamental
value of ensuring our children’s safety and welfare.

I offer many thanks to my attorney, Jay Larracuente, to the just and
reasonable Judge and Prosecutor, and to my supportive wife.
