Fairfield Animal Control did not want to help injured cat!

This is what I read on their  www.petadoption.org" site"The Animal Control Division enforces all state laws concerning animals, investigates roaming dogs, nuisance complaints, dog licensing, sick or injured animals, cruelty complaints, and rabies related complaints".

I got a call from a woman in the Fairfied/Stratfield Area. She has an injured cat for 3 days on her porch. She had called Fairfield AC but was told, they do not come out for this cat.

Well, if they claim that they are suppose to help injured animals, does that only pertain to deer, coyote, fox and dogs?
Guess what, cats are considered for many years now " House Hold Pets" and no longer wild animals!
Shame on ACO Mr. Miller for neglecting to have this poor cat picked up!
Not sure why we have ACO if they only do what they personally decide when and what animal they want to help.

Goes to show, this town is just another town like most who can care less about pets. I personally always felt that they are a tax payers waste!

I called TAG in Trumbull, an animal rescue group and they were willing to get the cat and pay for vet care even though they have hardly any money! Let's face it, without these private rescue groups, many more animals would suffer because of the ignorance of some people.
