The Perfect Christmas Gift?

Still searching for the perfect Christmas gift? Why not put an offer on that house you've been looking at for the past month? It's not too late!

A New House, of course!

It’s five days until Christmas and people are out, merrily or not, finishing their Christmas shopping.  Trying to find the perfect gift last minute can be tricky though.  You’re dealing with crowds of people, items may be out of stock and the last minute rush may make you hasty and spend money on the wrong thing.

Buying a new home is a process and definitely not a last minute gift decision.  I’m directing this to the thousands of home buyers out there right now who have been looking for the past three months or more. Many of you are even circling back to a home you’ve had your eye on for weeks. You have your mortgage approval and the good fortune of continued low interest rates, your down payment is safely tucked away and you don’t even have a house to sell. What’s holding you back?

The holidays are a great time to take that second and third look at some of the homes you’ve marked as favorites.  Many of them are dressed up for the holidays and looking their finest with evergreen garlands draped over mantels, cozy fires burning in the fireplace and gold and silver glittering throughout.  The cold weather makes it easier to see if there are cold spots in the home and if you like the yard and gardens during this dormant time of year, think of the surprise you will get in springtime when everything comes alive again.

Imagine turning one of those favorites into an accepted offer. On Christmas morning you can drive your loved ones by their new home-to-be and start the New Year off with packing!

One of my favorite homes just took a $50K price reduction for the holidays and New Year.  952 Old Post Rd, Fairfield, CT - Imagine living right in the middle of charming Fairfield where you can walk to everything? Now listed for $1,120,000!
