Adult arrested in conflict with juvenile

A 50-year-old Fairfield man was arrested on multiple charges early evening Saturday after a physical altercation with a 15-year-old boy.

According to police, on Aug. 3, at around 5:15 p.m., police received a report that Stephen Scaminaci of 56 Risley Road had fought with a juvenile. Both sustained injuries in the conflict but only the Scaminaci was arrested given a documented history of aggressive behavior in the past and that he was determined to be the chief aggressor in this latest incident. In this fight, both individuals fell to the floor, the youth after being pshed into a door.

Scaminaci was charged with third-degree assault, risk of injury to a minor and disorderly contact. He was issued a court date of Sept. 8 and released on a written promise to appear.

Vehicle vandalized

A resident at Parish Court Elderly Housing, 175 Warde Terrace, reported late Wednesday morning that her red Chevy Cobalt had been vandalized overnight.

According to police, a white substance – sugar or salt – had been dumped all over the complainant’s car. It appeared to wash off and there were no suspects.

Xbox and related electronics stolen

The homeowner at 50 Osborne Place reported early afternoon Wednesday that an xBox 360, hand controller, sensor unit and headset had all been stolen.

The homeowner believed the incident occurred between 10:30am and 12:15p.m. that day.
