Why weren't they both released the same?

I'm guessing the assault charge ups the ante Igor.

I'm continually amazed and appalled at how supposed adults can behave so stupidly and violently. Does this come from drinking alcohol and losing common sense, or is it at least partly due to people not being taught when they were children, by their parents, how to properly manage their own behavior in response to disappointments, disagreements, jealousies, etc.?
