Bad Breakup: Teen Allegedly Caused $1.5K in Damage to Boyfriend's Home

The boyfriend broke up with the 17-year-old girl on Friday, police said. The damage followed.

A 17-year-old girl was charged with disorderly conduct and first-degree criminal mischief after she allegedly caused $1,500 in damage to her boyfriend's home on Friday after he dumped her, police said.

The girl reportedly broke windows, screens, and a stairway banister in her boyfriend's Melville Avenue home. She also kicked holes into the sheetrock, police said.

The teen was released to her parents and is scheduled to appear in juvenile court on April 8.
