Update, Tuesday, July 16, 11:20 a.m.

Two bikes were reported stolen from the Fairfield Metro train station on Monday.

A red Trek bicycle was reported swiped just after 9 p.m. Monday. Its owner had chained and locked the bike that morning, but when he returned, the bike, chain, and lock were gone. This was third bicycle the complainant had reported stolen from the station.

A green Trek mountain bike was also reported stolen Monday night. The bicycle had been locked to a rack but it appeared the lock had been cut open.

A blue Beach Cruiser six-speed bicycle was reportedly swiped from the northbound side of the station on Friday. It was unclear whether the bike had been secured or not.

Another bike was reported stolen from the northbound side of the station Friday. A white and black Hyper 24-speed bicycle that had been secured by lock was stolen, police said. The lock was stolen, too.
