Car Chase Ends With Crash in Fairfield

After exiting the highway, the car cut through the Cumberland Farms parking lot, jumped a curb, went over a sidewalk, and crashed into two new vehicles and a light pole in the parking lot for Miller Nissan, according to a Doing it Local.com report.

 

Bridgeport Police are reportedly searching for a male suspect who led them on a car chase early Saturday morning that ended with a crash in the parking lot of Miller Nissan on Kings Highway in Fairfield.

According to a report in Doing it Local.com, police attempted to stop a car at Pearl Harbor Street and Manila Place just after 12:30 am Saturday, however the car refused to stop.

After chasing the car through side roads including Success Avenue and Granfield Avenue, the suspect reportedly got on I-95 southbound. State Police then joined the pursuit until the car got off Exit 24 in Fairfield.

A foot pursuit then took place, with the suspect running in between the cars in the dealership's parking lot.

Bridgeport and Fairfield police reportedly set up perimeters and deployed K-9 units, but were unable to apprehend the suspect. However police reportedly know who the suspect is, according to the Doing it Local.com report.
