Parker Holmes, 21, of Redding, was charged with evading responsibility, left lane restriction and driving while distracted on Nov. 15 at approximately 6:30 p.m.
According to police, Holmes was driving a blue Jeep Wrangler on Fairfield Woods Road on Oct. 11 at approximately 11:42 p.m. when he crashed into a telephone pole causing heavy frontend damage to the car. Holmes then allegedly ran from the vehicle and did not return.
Holmes was released on a written promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov 26.
