Cops: 300 Steroid Pills Found in Man's Car

The suspect faces multiple drug charges, according to the police report.

A Bridgeport man faces multiple drug charges after he engaging in a physical fight with another man early Saturday, police said.

Giancarlo Amado, 21, and Alex Nankervis, 23, of Trumbull, were both charged with breach of peace after allegedly fighting in front of the Seagrape Cafe in Fairfield. According to police, the call was initially reported as a fight that involved a gun. Upon arrival, police discovered that neither man had a gun.

Amado consented to a search of his vehicle after he and Nankervis were charged for the fight. According to the report, police found marijuana, marijuana paraphernalia, and two bags with a total of approximately 300 steroid pills in the car.

Amado was further charged with use and possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal manufacturing, distribution, and/or sale of prescription drugs, possession of less than 4 oz. of marijuana, and possession of a controlled substance, according to the report.

He was also charged on a PRAWN warrant out of Clinton, Conn. for failure to pay or plead for a previous infraction, police said.

Amado was released after posting a $5,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 24.
