Cops Find Suspect Asleep on Top of Loaded Gun

Police conducting an arrest following a two-month narcotics investigation took into custody a 58-year-old Norwalk man after breaching his apartment and finding him asleep on top of a loaded handgun.

A Monroe driver was arrested for DUI Wednesday evening after officers responding to an accident with evading saw him driving his Honda Civic with heavy front-end damage, dragging the front bumper under the car as he went. The driver did not respond to the police car's lights and sirens, according to police, who said he continued on at a slow rate of speed, pulled into his driveway and opened the garage door.

A Monroe father woke up to $272 worth of fines when his 17-year-old daughter threw a house party with underage drinking, according to police. The teen was hit with $136 fine for possession and her father $136 for failure to halt drinking by a minor.
