A Fairfield man was arrested this week after he allegedly harassed a TD Bank employee, police said.

Peter DeGregorio, 56, of Moritz Place, reportedly saw the TD Bank employee waiting in line at the Five O Food Store & Deli on Black Rock Turnpike as he drove by. Police said DeGregorio called her name, yelled and swore at the women, and then drove into the parking lot and attempted to block the employee as she tried to get back to the bank.

The employee called police and requested DeGregorio's arrest after they had both left the scene. She told police that DeGregorio had previously been banned from that TD Bank location due to poor behavior, department spokesperson Sgt. Sue Lussier said.

Responding officers found DeGregorio at his home and asked if he had gone to Five O Food Store & Deli. He reportedly said he had, but denied any altercation. He resisted arrest but was restrained and processed at police headquarters, where he was charged with breach of peace.
