A Bridgeport man was reportedly kicked off a Greater Bridgeport Transit bus in Fairfield Wednesday for causing a disturbance and then arrested after causing another disturbance in the Post Road McDonald's, police said.
A bus supervisor approached a Fairfield officer on patrol Wednesday night to report that an intoxicated subject was just kicked off one of the buses when it stopped on the Post Road. The man had been cursing, yelling, and telling the bus driver not to mess with him, according to the report.
Police found a subject matching the bus driver's description in McDonald's, where he reportedly was standing in line in front of other adults and children with an open beer can. He told police not to mess with him and was escorted out.
The man -- identified as James Platt, 63, of Birmingham Avenue -- resisted arrest and attempted to go back into McDonald's to order a burger, police said.
Platt was charged with breach of peace and interfering with police officers. He was transported to Bridgeport Hospital to detox and is scheduled to appear in court on March 11.
