Loss prevention employees directed to police to the men, who had reportedly left the store without paying for a Sony DVD player and a Samsung computer monitor, department spokesperson Sgt. Sue Lussier said.

According to the report, Martinez was walking north on Black Rock Turnpike with the 20-inch computer monitor under his sweatshirt. Police also found a pocketknife and three crack pipes on Martinez's person, Lussier said.
