Cops Nab Man Suspected of Four Burglaries in Fairfield

The burglaries occurred in mid-December.

A Stratford man was arrested Friday in connection with four burglaries in Fairfield, police said.

Police arrested Douglas Fast, 47, of Everett Street as a suspect in burglaries that occurred on Dorking Drive, Roseville Terrace, Barry Scott Drive, and Farist Road in December of 2011.

Items stolen from the burglaries include cash, jewelry, and a laptop, police said.

Fast was charged with first-degree larceny for the Dorking Drive case, third-degree larceny for the Roseville Terrace burglary, fourth-degree larceny for the Barry Scott Drive theft, and second-degree larceny for Farist Road. He also faces one count of third-degree burglary for each of the cases, police said.

Fast was held on a total $45,000 in bonds and is scheduled for court today (Monday).
