Cops: Post Road Brawl Sends One to Hospital
A woman was reportedly punched in the face early Sunday.
Fairfield police are investigating a report of an assault that occurred on the Post Road early Sunday.
According to the report, the complainant told police that a fight between a group of males broke out near the Patriot Plaza. She tried to break up the fight but was grabbed from behind by an unknown white male in a white shirt. The complainant told police that when she turned around, the man reportedly punched her in the face so hard that she fell to the ground and lost consciousness.
The woman was transported to St. Vincent's. The incident remains under investigation.
