Do we see a pattern here?
Fairfield Resident September 28, 2012 at 11:31 am
Yes.
Stupid people who leave valuables in plain sight inside their cars.
Brian September 28, 2012 at 12:29 pm
@Resident: Their vehicles were locked and one even in the driveway. Doesn't sound stupid to me. They are not to blame. Would you be to blame if your house was broken into while you were or were not home with doors locked? I'd look to locals who know the neighborhood and need some quick dough for their meth habits.

Several yrs ago my car was broken into, I stupidly left my purse, cell & gps locked inside. Trifecta for them, hard lesson learned for me! This yr my car was broken into again, they took all 4 tires. This I could not avoid...close to highway equals easy off-easy on!

Dearest Brian:
Reading comprehension much? I didn't say anything about the vehicles being locked or not. I didn't say where the vehicles were parked. I said people are stupid because they leave valuable items in plain sight in their vehicles. You leave ANYTHING in plain sight in your unattended vehicle and it is a target for being stolen. If the crooks see nothing, they don't waste their time and move on to the car that HAS something to steal.
Fairfield Resident September 28, 2012 at 01:31 pm
Why did you have tires inside your car?
Joeseph Biff September 29, 2012 at 02:38 am
These crooks are out there looking in cars for goodies so they can sell them to buy their drugs. It does not matter if your car is in your driveway,on the strreet in front of your house.........where ever. The same goes for garage doors.Always keep them locked as well when you are not around. They are very brazen and will come on to your property to steal. They also work in pairs. One guy drives while the other goes from car to car checking doors to see if they are locked. They would rather break into the one that's not locked .This is 2012.You can't just assume your car is safe in your driveway anymore. If you must leave something in your car, lock it in the trunk. This is all just good old fashioned common sense.

Brian- I think you may be right and I'm not sure what Fairfield Resident's problem is other than trying to start trouble. These people, local or not, don't have any right to trespass onto private property, look into other people's cars, smash windows, and steal. Even if the car was left unlocked, that doesn't give someone carte blanche to enter it and take whatever they want. Hopefully these dirtbags will be caught.

Atticus, Ralph Arnone is next scheduled to appear in court on July 1st, at which point he isRead More expected to enter a plea. As an aside, one isn't supposed to go to bed and wake up still angry at the same thing, day in, day out, week in, week out, month in, month out... I'm not trying to give you a hard time. I care deeply about firefighters and I'm genuinely concerned about you. You were exposed to a lot of chemicals in your career. You may have some endocrine system damage or something causing an electrolyte disorder. This stuff starts out with things like joint pain and minor psychological implications but, it gets much, much worse. Get to the doc. Maybe you're just a spicy guy, maybe Ralph hurt you in some terrible way, or maybe you are sick and as a result, you'll be facing a much shortened a painful life. Honestly, I'm not trying to give you a hard time or pick a fight.
