A New Canaan man was charged last week with driving while intoxicated after police reportedly found him sleeping in his vehicle in front of BJ's.

According to the police report, an officer noticed a car was in front of the doors of BJ's on Black Rock Turnpike. Police approached and saw a man sleeping inside, and that the car was running and in drive. When they woke the man up, his foot slipped off the pedal and the vehicle rolled for four or five feet before it stopped.
