Cops: Woman Allegedly Stole Gold Bracelet from Grandmother

Annie Turoczi, 22, was charged with fifth-degree larceny.

A Bridgeport woman arrested Saturday after she allegedly stole a gold bracelet from her grandmother, a patient at Ludlowe Center for Health & Rehabilitation on Jefferson Street, police said.

According to the report, Annie Turoczi, 22, of Montgomery Street, visited her grandmother and asked to see the victim's watch. Turoczi then unhooked her grandmother's gold bracelet from her wrist, police said, and said she had to leave the room, and never returned.

The victim called police to report the theft and officers tracked down Turoczi at her home and took her into custody. Police recovered the 24 karat gold, $900 bracelet from a pawnshop in Bridgeport, according to the report.

Turoczi was charged with fifth-degree larceny and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 22.
