Cops: Woman Stole $2,700 in Items from Kohl's, Other Stores

A Bridgeport woman was arrested Monday for allegedly stealing over $2,700 in merchandise from various stores, including Kohl's in Fairfield, police said.
Kohl's loss prevention employees reported to police Monday that a woman was concealing merchandise and attempted to pass all points of sale and leave the store without paying.

Responding officers confronted the suspect and received consent to search her vehicle, where they found $2,084 worth of stolen merchandise that the woman reportedly admitted to stealing from other stores, according to the report.
The suspect had also allegedly concealed $687 worth of merchandise from Kohl's prior to the officers' arrival, police said.

The woman -- identified as Raemisha Sierra, 22, of Boston Avenue -- was charged with fifth-degree larceny and third-degree larceny by possession. She was released on a promise to appear in court on Feb. 28.
