Crash Leads to DUI for Fairfield Man
18-year-old hit a sign and a tree on Fairland Drive and was transported to a local hospital.
Ryan Mulligan, 18, of Fairfield, was charged with DUI and failure to drive to the right on Sept. 28 at approximately 8 a.m.
According to police, Mulligan was driving on Fairland Drive on Aug. 31 at approximately 12:39 a.m. when his vehicle went off the right shoulder, striking a mailbox, a pole and a tree.
Mulligan suffered a laceration to his forehead and was transported to Bridgeport Hospital. A blood test was administered at the hospital and it was determined Mulligan had alcohol in his system at the time of the crash.

Mulligan was released on $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 15.
