We eat there all the time. Always fine. Nicest staff ever. Treat every customer like family. I hope John (owner) and George (best waiter ever!) told her not to come back.

We also eat there all the time. The staff is great, and the food is delicious. I'd love to know what they ordered because there's some dishes you order at a diner and you expect it will be, well, diner-like. These women sound like real winners. Did they think they were at Osianna or something?

If their cooking skills are anything like their business skills, I'm not surprised that the customers didn't like the food. If they felt the food was too greasy and barely touched it...and explained this to the manager...he expects them to pay or he calls the cops? Even if he doesn't agree, this is unheard of. What happened to "the customer is always right? I gues he treats you "like family" as long as you don't question the food or pay in full. I'm crossing this place off my list!

We were recently at Athena diner. Our waiter was missing most of his teeth and had an open neck wound. Needless to say, we all lost our appetites . Although we did pay for our meals, we obviously didn't touch them will never go back. Im with the ladies on this one...

I worked for John and John for almost 10 years and they take allot of pride in what they serve their customers and how they treat them also and yes they do treat them like family. However there is always an exception to the rule in regards to the customer always being right. She did not touch her food but it was to greasy, come on! This is a diner and diner's are notorious for their breakfast and grilled items hence the grease! However they are also very accomadating to and they will grill your selection dry or alter to your needs, In addition their is an abundant selection of salads, broiled fish which they will prepare without oil or butter (no grease). They always aim to please and if not satisfied they will make it right which tells me these women were unreasonable.
