Doctor's Office Employee Charged with Forging Prescriptions
The woman was terminated after her employer noticed the prescriptions, police said.

A Westport woman faces multiple charged after she allegedly wrote fake prescriptions for herself during her time working for a Fairfield doctor's office, police said.
Palma D'Alessio, 52, of Stone Drive, was charged Wednesday with nine counts of illegally obtaining prescription medication. She allegedly wrote out prescriptions for a total of 1,200 hydrocodone pills, police said. Hydrocodone is a painkiller.

According to the police report, D'Alessio was terminated from her position in October after her employer noticed the fraudulent prescriptions. The doctor called police and the department applied for a warrant. D'Alessio turned herself in on Wednesday.
D'Alessio was released on a promise to appear in court on Jan. 13.
