A Bridgeport man was charged with driving under the influence Saturday night following the Grasmere Avenue accident that sent one man to the hospital, police said.
Matthew Conte, 29, of Laurel Place, reportedly failed field sobriety tests conducted by officers who responded to the scene of the motor vehicle accident. He was further charged with reckless driving.
According to the accident report, the vehicle Conte was driving hit two parked and unoccupied cars and then rolled over. Conte was not injured, police said, but a 33-year-old male passenger was sent to Bridgeport Hospital for an injury to his right hand.
Conte was released after posting a $100 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 2.
