Fairfield Cops Investigate More Car Break-Ins

Two break-ins were reported earlier this week. Both cars were parked in commuter or public parking spaces.

Fairfield police are investigating two reports of car break-ins from Monday:

According to one police report, a car parked in the Round Hill Road commuter lot was broken into sometime on Monday. The left front window of the silver Infiniti G35 was smashed and the car’s interior was rummaged through, police said.

It appeared that there was nothing of value inside the car and nothing appeared to be missing, police said.

The damage to the window was estimated at $400.

The owner of a car parked over the weekend on the south side of the Fairfield Center train station reported late Monday that his car had been broken into sometime over the weekend, police said.

The passenger side window was smashed and a $50 bluetooth piece and $100 iPod were taken, according to the report.

The damage to the window was estimated at $100.
