Fairfield Man Charged in Statewide Child Pornography Dragnet

The resident is one of 18 suspects who were arrested by Connecticut State Police.


A Fairfield man is facing child pornography charges — the result of a statewide Connecticut State Police investigation.

According to state police, detectives from the Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Unit, assisted by members of the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Sex Offenders Unit, conducted an arrest warrant sweep across the state on Thursday, March 27. 

"After several lengthy and thorough investigations, 18 people from across the state were arrested," state police said in a press release. The Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Investigations Unit is also the command for Connecticut’s Internet Crimes Against Children’s Task Force.

David Dembosky, 35, of 61 Hynyadi Ave., Fairfield, faces felony charges of first-degree possession of child pornography in connection with an Aug. 28, 2013 incident and promoting a minor in an obscene performance in connection with a June 1, 2013 incident, according to police and the Connecticut Judicial Branch website.

He was released after posting $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear April 7 in state Superior Court in Bridgeport, according to the Connecticut Judicial Branch website.
