Fairfield Man Charged with Assault of Elderly Family Member
The alleged assault was reported Sunday.

A Fairfield man was charged Sunday with disorderly conduct and assault of an elderly victim after he allegedly engaged in a physical altercation with a 68-year-old family member, police said.
Peter Csom, 42, of Godfrey Road, was held in lieu of a $3,000 bond and was scheduled to have appeared in court on Monday.

According to the report, the victim told police he had been assaulted and feared for his safety. The victim sustained scratches on his face and a bite mark to his hand, department spokesperson Sgt. Sue Lussier said.
