Fairfield Man Charged With Burglarizing Local Home

After police secured a warrant for an alleged crime committed in February, the suspect has finally turned himself in.

 

Fairfield police charged Scott Widell, 43, of 85 Burkley Road, with third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny after he turner himself in on a warrant for an incident that happened February 9.  

Widell allegedly shattered a rear glass door to a Fairfield home and stole an Apple iPod valued at $200, according to Sgt. Sue Lussier.

The residents knew the man, as he had previously done work on the house, and more recently came to the home looking for cash, Lussier said.

Police were able to determine he was involved based on his whereabouts that day and witness accounts.
