Fairfield Man Charged with Assault

He was also charged with disorderly conduct and interfering with a police officer, according to the report.

A Fairfield man was charged with third-degree assault Friday after he allegedly punched a female victim numerous times, causing her nose to bleed, police said.

James Leclerc, 46, was further charged with disorderly conduct and interfering with an officer because he allegedly locked himself in his apartment and refused to allow the responding officer enter the residence, according to the report.

Leclerc was released after posting a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
