According to the report, Fultz's 14-year-old son called police to report a verbal altercation between his parents, and that his father had allegedly been wrestling, pushing, and shoving him all day.

After the argument with his wife, Fultz reportedly retreated into his bedroom, where he keeps a Glock handgun, police said.

Police said that Fultz had been drinking and taking prescription medication before they arrived, according to the report. Fultz reportedly told police he had been carrying around the gun -- which was loaded -- all day. The gun was made safe and seized by a responding officer.

Fultz was detained and taken to police headquarters, where he was charged. He was released after posting a $25,000 bond and was scheduled to have appeared in court on Monday.
