Fairfield Police Can't Verify Teen's Account that She was Abducted

Jogger claimed man told her to cut herself

Last week a 16-year-old Fairfield teen alleged she was held for about an hour by a man in the woods near Fairfield University’s athletic field. 

She claimed the man told the teen to cut herself, and that he worse a ski mask. 

The allegation triggered a manhunt for the suspect, which spilled onto the Fairfield University campus Thursday evening.

But the Fairfield Citizen reports police cannot confirm the teen’s account of what happened that night. The teen claimed she was jogging Thursday evening by the university’s campus.
