Fairfield Police Collecting Toys for Children at Bridgeport Hospital

Drop off a toy or two at one of the several locations around town.

The Fairfield Police Benevolent Association is once again running its annual holiday toy drive. All toys collected are donated to Bridgeport Hospital.

The toy drive is usually able to provide sick children admitted to the hospital "with some smiles -- not only during the holidays, but all year-round," according to a release from the association.

"This is done by the graciousness of the public and their willingness to give," members of the association stated in the release.

Those interested in donating may drop off toys in the boxes located at the Fairfield Police Department on Reef Road, the Fairfield Recreation Center on Mill Plain Road, and the Town Clerk's Office in Old Town Hall on Old Post Road.

Another way to donate is to attend the Fairfield Police Benevolent Association 5K Road Race on Sunday, Dec. 16. The race will start at 9:30 a.m. at the Scandinavian Club on South Pine Creek Road.
