Fairfield Police Stop Break-in Spree

Three teens allegedly broke into and burglarized numerous vehicles in Fairfield.

Three Bridgeport teens were taken into custody early Monday morning after an alleged larceny spree that included at least ten car break-ins.

Luis Gonsales, 18, Hector Morales, 19, and a 15-year-old juvenile male, all of Bridgeport, were charged with the following on Nov. 18 at approximately 2:48 a.m.:

  • Third-degree burglary (10 counts)
  • Conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary (10 counts)
  • Sixth-degree larceny (10 counts)
  • Conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny (10 counts)
  • Criminal mischief (9 counts)
  • Possession of burglar’s tools

According to police, officers observed a tan Honda Accord traveling on Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield without registration. During a brief investigation officers found burglar’s tools in the vehicle and one of the men admitted to using them to break into cars overnight.

Cars were reportedly broken into in the area of Dawn St., Poe Court, and Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield. Nine of the vehicles broken into had their windows smashed, and cash, cell phones and GPS systems were taken from the vehicles, according to police.

Gonsales and Morales have a bond set at $100,000 and are scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 25. The juvenile was released on a written promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 26.
