Fairfield U Students Charged with Carrying Fake IDs

One was also charged with vandalizing vehicles parked on Reef Road, police said.

A Fairfield University student was charged early Sunday with damaging vehicles parked near Veterans Park on Reef Road, police said.

Christopher Tortolani, 19, of Rhode Island, allegedly broke the side view mirrors of five vehicles parked on Reef Road, according to the report. He was charged with third-degree criminal mischief.

Tortolani was further charged with third-degree forgery because he was in possession of a fake driver license, according to the report. Andrew Riina, 20, of Maryland, who was with Tortolani at the time of the vandalism, was also charged with third-degree forgery for allegedly carrying a fake license, police said. Riina is also a Fairfield University student.

Both men were released on a promise to appear in court on Oct. 9.
