Worker suffered reaction to bee sting, brought down in Stokes basket
Fairfield firefighters rescued a construction worker from a roof at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield Wednesday morning after the worker suffered a reaction to a bee sting.
Firefighters and paramedics with AMR Ambulance Co. treated the 20-year-old worker while firefighters set up a ladder to take the worker off the roof and lower him to the ground in a Stokes basket and strap system. A firefighter accompanied the worker to the ground and continued treatment, according to the Fire Department's report.
The worker was then taken by AMR to St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, according to the Fire Department's report.
