Greenhaw is currently Treasurer of the Fairfield Fire Fighters Association, IAFF Local 1426, and served in the U. S. Air Force prior to being hired by the town in early 2004. He was joined by his wife, two children, and parents who had flown in from California to witness the ceremony, along with several dozen officers and firefighters from the department as Town Attorney Richard Saxl and First Selectman Sherri Steeneck performed the promotional ceremony before Fire Chief Richard Felner and the Board of Fire Commissioners.
