A man driving on the Merritt Parkway Sunday got a surprise visit from a hawk, which collided with the man's windshield, fell in through his vehicle's window and landed on the man's lap, police said.
The hawk, which was injured, remained on the man's lap for the duration of the car ride. When the complainant arrived home, he called Animal Control. An officer picked up the hawk, which was housed by Animal Control until it was taken to the veterinarian Monday.
