Heavy Rain, Thunderstorms, Hail Possible Tonight

The National Weather Service warns of bad weather – including hail - throughout Fairfield County and other parts of Connecticut.

Fairfield and the rest of the county could be in for a rough day. The National Weather Service warns that storms this afternoon and especially later tonight will bring primary threats of "damaging winds and large hail.”

A hazardous weather alert says that a slow-moving cold front is moving through the area on Friday afternoon and early Saturday, which could bring more “thunderstorms with very heavy rain and gusty winds.”

There’s a high of 85 degrees expected today, with a low of 68 at night. Rainfall could reach between a half inch and three quarters of an inch.
