A former home health aide was arrested on a warrant Tuesday for allegedly stealing checks from clients, police said.
Sasha Garcia, 22, of Gray Rock Road in Trumbull, was charged with sixth-degree larceny for allegedly stealing and cashing two checks totaling $1,291 from a Fairfield client, according to the report.
The company she worked for had fired Garcia after they found out she had reportedly stolen checks from clients in Bridgeport and Westport, Lt. Michael Gagner said.
During the investigation, detectives interviewed Garcia -- who was already in custody for larceny charges from other towns -- and she reportedly admitted to stealing the checks, Gagner said.
Garcia is scheduled to appear in court for the Fairfield larceny charge on Feb. 12.
