Lock Up Your Bikes, Fairfield!

String of stolen bicycles reported in Fairfield since beginning of July.

Fairfield residents should make sure to lock up their bikes after a series of bicycle thefts have been reported around town since the beginning of the month.

At least five bicycles have been reported stolen since July 2.

The biggest loss was the reported theft of an $8,000 racing bike from an open garage on Stonybrook Rd., according to the Connecticut Post.

Another bicycle, which police say was not secured, was stolen from a driveway on Fairfield Beach Road. That bike was valued at $1,200.
