Man Charged in Old Barn Road Burglary

A Bridgeport man was arrested Friday in connection to the May burglary, during which a car was stolen.

A Bridgeport man was arrested in court Friday in connection to an Old Barn Road burglary that occurred in early May, police said.

Tyrone Doby, 47, was charged with first-degree burglary and second-degree larceny for allegedly breaking into the home and stealing items, cash, and a 2001 blue BMW on May 4, according to the report.

The vehicle was recovered in Bridgeport on May 10. Fairfield detectives were able to process the scene at Old Barn Road for fingerprints and determined they matched Doby, a suspect that Westport police has in custody for similar crimes.

Doby reportedly admitted to breaking into homes and was held in lieu of a $250,000 bond. He was scheduled to have appeared in court on Friday.

According to court records, Doby awaits a plea date of July 17.
