The man -- later identified by police as Curtis Cocco, 40, of Rodgers Road -- gave police his recollection of the accident and was transported to St. Vincent's Medical Center for evaluation. Before the accident, Cocco was reportedly at O Bar on Sanford Street, where he allegedly drank beer, department spokesperson Sgt. Sue Lussier said.

After obtaining medical records that reportedly revealed alcohol in his system, police applied for a warrant for Cocco's arrest, which was served on Saturday. He was released after posting a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 12.
