A Norwalk man was arrested Friday in connection to a Vermont Avenue burglary that occurred in 2009, police said.
Jack Socci, 21, of Michael Street, was arrested in court and charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree larceny.
In August 2009, a Vermont Avenue resident returned home to find the home's rear door unlocked and the inside of the house ransacked, according to the report. His flat screen TV, DVDs, and jewelry were stolen, police said.
Witnesses said they saw a skinny white male with a blue jacket flee from the neighborhood toward Kings Highway. Police were able to lift a palm print from the kitchen window, according to the report.
The print was identified as Socci's and police applied for an arrest warrant, which was served in court. Socci was held in lieu of a $10,000 bond and was arraigned in court on Friday.
