In August 2009, a Vermont Avenue resident returned home to find the home's rear door unlocked and the inside of the house ransacked, according to the report. His flat screen TV, DVDs, and jewelry were stolen, police said.

Witnesses said they saw a skinny white male with a blue jacket flee from the neighborhood toward Kings Highway. Police were able to lift a palm print from the kitchen window, according to the report.
