Man Charged with Pumping Gas without Paying

A Stratford man allegedly stole $87 worth of gas from a station in Fairfield, police said.

A Stratford man was charged with larceny Thursday for reportedly pumping gas without paying, police said.

The theft occurred in April, but police charged Benson Ajissefinni of Larkin Court on Thursday following an investigation.

According to the report, Ajissefinni pumped $87 worth of gas into his car at the at 1096 Post Road and left without paying.

He was released on a promise to appear in court on July 9.

A Metro-North patron reported his bicycle had been stolen from the north side of the Fairfield Center train station Thursday.

The black mountain bike with neon green stripes had been secured with a lock by the complainant Thursday morning, but when he returned after 4 p.m., the bike was gone. The lock was found on the ground and appeared damage.

This bike is valued at $500. This is under investigation.
