The complainant reported to police on Sept. 16 that her purse had been stolen from her shopping cart while at The Pantry on the Post Road. An investigation in conjunction with Citibank revealed that more than $1,000 in fraudulent charges were made against her credit card, department spokesperson Sgt. Sue Lussier said.

Police were able to obtain the license plate information of the suspect's car through surveillance footage. This information led investigators to arrest Biancheri.
