Mom Turns in Son for Pot Possession

A 16-year-old was arrested on Wednesday for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

A 16-year-old Fairfield resident was charged on Wednesday with possession of less than a half ounce of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after his mother turned the evidence into .

According to the report, the mother brought before police some plastic baggies with marijuana, a scale, and a pipe; all allegedly belonged to her son.

A Stratfield Road resident reported to police on Wednesday that both cars parked in his driveway were entered, police said.

A Pandora pin ($100) was stolen from the resident’s Toyota Prius; a $300 Garmin Nuvi GPS was taken from a Kia Sportage, according to the report.

It was not known whether the cars were locked or not at the time of the report.

A Fairfield woman was arrested on Wednesday after she allegedly punched her boyfriend in the jaw, police said.

Amanda Hokanson, 22, was charged with disorderly conduct. Her mother reported to police that the Hokanson and her boyfriend were physically fighting, according to the report. The fight broke out after the boyfriend tried to call a friend to get a ride from Hokanson’s house, according to the report.

Hokanson was released on a promise to appear in court Thursday.

, 26, of Fairfield, was arrested early Thursday and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police discovered a crack pipe on Kosch’s person following a motor vehicle stop, police said.

Police conducted the traffic stop at Post Road and Mill Plain Road, according to the report. The officer had previous knowledge that Kosch was operating his vehicle with a suspended license.

In addition to the crack pipe, police found a plastic knife in Kosch’s car, which was seized as evidence, according to the report.

Kosh was released on a promise to appear in court on Feb. 21 for operating a vehicle with a suspended license; he is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 22 for the drug paraphernalia charged.
